Burger Chef had over a thousand locations in 1973 and introduced the funmeal.. They sued McDonalds but lost. Right around the same time the EggMcMuffin was created. Marketing believed that a quick breakfast would be a welcome addition to fast food. Before they made hotels Howard Johnson's started off as a pharmacy then later hot dog and ice cream stands that eventually turned into a sit down restaraunt and one of the very first franchises in American history. at its cultural peak, it served more meals outside of the family home than any entity except for the US Army; in 1979 had 1,040 locations

Trends: There was a time when fast food in general was on a sharp decline.. It might've been partially due to that movie where the guy ate McDonalds for every meal.. In response, I believe they came back by targeting the urban audience and making the catch phrase: "I'm loving it" & they showed love for a while by introducing double cheeseburgers for 99 cents..

Later they removed one of the pieces of cheese creating the McDouble.. At that time I was working at a factory.. At first I was having a bit of trouble with my consistancy.. They put me next to a guy that I called "the machine," at the time, watching him work was a marvel of human efficiency. He would do the work of two people on the floor and never mess up. When I saw what a person was capable of, the next step was me working to get to that level. The guy was from Khazakstan, part of a group that came to the U.S. on work Visas.. Well I befriended them and even visited where they were living; in an extended stay style hotel with kitchenette.. They didn' do any cooking and apparently lived on McDoubles... To them it seemed foolish to go to the store, buy groceries and cook them, only to have something not as good for possibly more money. I'm not saying they never ate anything else , but also take into consideration that we were making maybe 8.50 an hour and I'm sure they intended to save much of their earnings made in the States. Americans too, there is a whole variety of individuals, millions of people who feel the weight of every dollar. That's why, last time I walked into McE-D's I was appalled to see the the double go to 1.50.

My friend Daniel says to me I like a gourmet pie but I even enjoy Little Caesars.. Not knowing what t say, I replied that they made their dough fresh daily..

As if there's anyone out there who only likes Dominos... I walked by a Hot n Fresh in Georgia and they had a banner that said pizzas are back to $5. I smiled, because I knew I wasn't the only one who boycotted the raising of the price. Well hey that's inflation, what is? Well they raise prices, yeah and how come they don't raise minimum wage? 5 to $6 is a 20% increase so I'll be buying little Caesars when they start paying their employees $8.70...Well the object is to squeeze the most out of people who have the least... What's the difference 2 burgers for 2 dollars or $3. To those that don't know the difference between 2 and 3 & all those that don't get to go out much, who have to think twice about buying themselves ice cream on their family's budget. Who live paycheck to paycheck and are attacked by the lottery who want that little extra that they have.. for a chance, a way out.*

So to try to compensate for the extra bums counting change and taking a toll on the overall atmosphere..(If your city still has them) I'd like to thank Wendy's the inventor of the drive through window! For showing some love to all the Americans who had to pay rent and only have a couple bucks to spend on lunch until Friday and got full on a hot & tasty burger.. The official fuel of American workers.. It's not that bologna won't fill you up too.. It doesn't taste as good because it's not that premium fuel, I know I'm not the only one who can feel the difference. Brown expanded the company to a chain of more than 425 restaurants before selling his interest in the franchise to the Malaysia-based Berjaya Group in 1996. In 1996 the chain announced plans to open in the United Kingdom and purchased locations in various cities. At this point annual sales topped $300 million. However, the planned restaurants in Britain never materialized.

It was so good that Seinfeld even made a whole episode about it and now it's gone along with the likes of many fast food and cultural staples and copycats like White Tower and Burger Queen all their storys are interesting to me and there's plenty of info online on the rise and fall of some of these American Giants.

Had to do a double take.. Are they saying that people who shop at grocery stores are Jews... I remember in high school someone said it & I couldn't figure out of it was a slur or not. My frind Gus said it only has power if you give it power.. Though that's easy to say when Mc or Dego don't really have any meaning, anyway.. Austin is a very culinary city.. All the restaraunts always seemed packed when I would look.

Though Texas as a whole, I am in doubt, the reason being the attempt to legitimize pigs in a blanket: by calling them kolaches.

When I first saw a H.E.B. I went to investigate.. I was greeted with tasty samples, (my favorite part of a grocery shopping experience) true to it's word, it lived up to it's name with tantalizing coupons everywhere advertising particular discounts and free stuff when you buy something else.. They also have their brand items often rivaling Aldi in quality and price.. I have always felt a strange sentiment when shopping at the latter and Trader Joes, then I found out that they (conglamorate) were a foreign company profiting on American groceries arguably one of the largest markets in America. I was inspired by this platform as to one of the goals of thapeople.
