When I was a youngster, before I first tried it,

I like to think, for my benefit,

these girls discussed it among themselves..

They said, when they first started smoking it was more difficult then normally

Then eventually, it was like getting high made them normal

When I heard that, I said to myself that's never going to happen to me.

It was many years later when I started smoking everyday and understood what they were talking about.

I feel the same about coffee except the effects are quite different.

mj is very right brain and contrary to our left dominated world.

I think it's silly these days, in a lot of places, people beat around the bush, having prescriptions for it, necessitating some sort of ailment.

It's true, marijuana has amazing healing properties incomparable to anything else.

When I have a cold or a stomach ache, nothing makes me feel better

It's like I keep telling myself oh I feel so sick

The weed helps me check that and almost will myself into feeling better.

The magic of it, to me and the reason so many are against it: is that it drastically increases self awareness.

If I'm having a moral dilemma, it will not allow me to feel good about myself until I fix it.. Kind of the opposite of anti depressants.

However I often see people on both and I imagine that nullifies the moral quality of the weed and just has them feeling good.

Anyways, I was super excited to get to Vegas..

I imagined a place where people could smoke, sit around and talk to people from around the world, drink coffee or alcoholic beverages

A tourist wonderland.

However someone had a different idea, I heard stories of people visiting, with intentions to go to a store where it is legal to purchase herbs, to enjoy them for a weekend or so, only to be recorded on camera and incidentally ended up losing their jobs.

I don't know if there is validity to this statement however I did feel an awkward feeling when a dispensary was asking for my information.. Since it still is a federal crime and they are basically asking me to incriminate myself. I don't like to hide anything that I do, however from my experience, seems to bother people less, when I try to not let anybody know when I purchase my green and potentially make money for criminals and cartels.

I guess this means we should focus on following Uruguay and Canada's lead and make cannabis legal nationwide. A task that seems improbable with today's administration. This has led to a strange dualism, where the people seem to feel it should be legal and the government is using this to find and target smokers and such.

I wouldn't be surprised if they even altered it's effects in negative ways, since self-awareness is not in the interest of those that govern people, on the contrary their intent is for people to just follow and consume.

We all know that politicians are in the pockets of multinational corporations, who want you to continue buying their products.

What's the alternative? Finding a means to making our own food without pest asides and genetic modification..

Making our own companies to mass produce shoes and garments to eliminate sweat shops... Since I can't find a pair of tennis shoes made in America. Once the machinery is bought, it's hard for me to justify the difference in cost, of domestically producing them.. Especially considering the cost of international shipping and tariffs.

To me: The idea is to live a life without having any hangups, like having to tell yourself, well just don't think about that.

See the human experience for tens of thousands of years was to mold the Earth for our benefit...

Different cultures learned about agriculture, in South America, without genetic modification, they developed their own crops like corn, beans, squash and even cotton. Nowadays we are used to and appreciate convenience so much. Food, clothing, shelter... I'm not going to even attempt tackling that... Can't you just do it for me? Yeah well, and that's why your rent or mortgage is basically just making money for the banks..

Corporations see us as a dollar sign, they now have chips on our cards, microphones on our phones and are studying all of our purchasing patterns so that different companies can send us custom commercials.

It's getting weird already and if we continue to let them do so

There is no telling what future generations will have to go through.

I'm not saying we ought to go back in time and not use technology.

It's just that with the advent of all these conveniences there's so much potential to misuse them.

When companies are making so much money, they aren't willingly going to give them up and their little puppets sure as shit aren't going to check them.

That is what real government is for... To deal with innovations as they come up and administer just solutions: Well we have an inalienable right to privacy: so as companies advent all types of new ways to scour everything that goes on in our "digital social lives" in theory they should be protecting our information.
